Using Science Notebooks to Support NGSS and CCSS

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Science notebooks provide authentic opportunities to support the development of the four domains on Common Core ELA, reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language. Students use their notebooks to build conceptual understanding of science ideas and engage in the three dimensions of NGSS. This session will introduce notebooks as a tool for student thinking. See a short video of students using their notebooks in a classroom setting, view sample fifth grade notebooks, and leave with resources to start using or refining the use of notebooks in your own classroom.
