Save Our Aquatic Resources

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Attend this hands-on session, hosted by the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Education team, to get a glimpse of our grant-funded water conservation program!  SOAR (Save Our Aquatic Resources) is an interactive education program offered onsite at the Safari Park that aligns to NGSS for grades 3-5.  In this session, we'll show you how SOAR transforms your students into scientists for a day, allowing them to immerse themselves in the magic of a wetland environment while learning the importance of water for survival of all living things.  You'll see how SOAR allows students to be part of the solution by leaving them with simple action steps they can take to become "heroes for wildlife", making conservation a habit in their daily lives.  Grant details will be discussed, preference for 2016-2017 grant funds will be given to those who attend this session.  (Note:  Receiving schools must meet the requirements of the grant in order to qualify.)
