Current research indicates connections with the natural world
increase children’s ability to learn and improve health and social
behavior. Meaningful outdoor experiences are a powerful tool for
lifelong impact and learning. Recent studies show the average youth
spends more than seven hours in front of an electronic screen and only seven minutes outside daily. For some, this may be their first opportunity to touch tide-pool animals, swim in the ocean, or walk on the beach. These can be experiences that last a lifetime and offer tremendous impact for your students and classroom.
